Confirmed! Thanks for doing business!

The season is close to over in Montreal without some sort of major change - and the team hate Scheffler (my chemisty has gone from ecstatic to unhappy with 19 people complaining about disruptive influences), he's got three months left, I like Alicea, and I can get Stanley/Rising platoon established.

Can Alicea take the 5-spot in the rotation, Asseldonk into long relief....

Then can Jake Rising take over as fulltime Catcher and John Stanley take the back up role.

To me Scheffer is the worst type of player to have -- horrible personality and always injured -- so anything you can get for him is a bonus. And, seeing as how Montreal is out of the playoff picture ... they nabbed a couple cheap aging hurlers who have another year on their contract.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

I don't like any of the players in the deal, I just wouldn't sign those pitchers to FA contracts at their current terms for 2054. They're aging and haven't pitched well in 2053. I assume Scheffer had some trade value, but maybe Brett insisted those pitchers' contracts be taken on just to unload him?

RMO didn't have an open active roster spot for Scheffer, so I sent Kieran Rinn to AAA to make room.
