Edmonton-Brooklyn

Post by ae37jr » Mon Feb 25, 2019 1:08 pm

Edmonton Gets
DH Fernando Cruz
SP Francisco Ruiz

Brooklyn Gets
CL Pjor Eland(AA)
SP Juan Rodriguez(AA)
RP Ivan Meerkerk(AA)
RP Larry Good(AA)
CF Po-Sin Shi(R)
$10 million

Thanks to Chris for the quick and easy negotiations. Now go win a Landis or 3.

This deal looks underwhelming on the surface but checks a lot of boxes for this teardown. Saved money, made money, acquired a depth of pitching heavy high platoon split players with good intangibles and clean bills of health. Gotta start somewhere.

Cruz and Ruiz are dfa. Please leave incoming in dfa.

I did not realize the trade season was open during the playoffs. Guess I better get to work.

I don't know that it is, but the end of the season is so close we've never really bothered to wait on posting. Matt might not process any of these until the playoffs are over.

Yes. just posting this to put it in the que. No players will be DFA or moved untill after the Landis. Though that would make the playoffs hell of a lot more exciting. lol

Probably shouldn't even post a confirmed trade when its out of trade season. What happens if one of those players decides to become a monk and retire from baseball suddenly? Or has an off field injury that forces retirement? Or has an amazingly random talent lump or bump? Could be opening a can of worms that need not be open...

Confirmed with the stipulation that none of the players are injured, retire or become a monk from now until the time the trade is processed haha.

Thanks for the deal Alan. Very smooth negotiations. 10/10 would trade away my farm system again. Those are some good pieces you got from me. Good luck on the rebuild.
