This is a go.

Martin replaces Georges in the rotation and just keep Norris up and active for now; I'll work him in later.

I thought this was a big overpay until you mentioned the Martin extension. Now it seems pretty good.

I told him I wouldn't do the deal without a sign-and-trade.

Every advanced stat we have in the game loves this guy.

I agree, and I nearly traded for him. But Jim was rightfully looking for a good deal, and it was just more than I could pay for someone who has a 5 year record of consistently underperforming against those advanced stats.

I'm probably going to regret not paying up when I miss the playoffs, but

I definitely had several good offers on the table for him.

I made the decision not to resign him based on 1) my abysmal on field performance a the team level and 2) his Mediocre history and 3) need to sign a couple other guys (mei in particular).

Lots of good interest in him. I think this trade works out well for both sides.

And now... Romero is available if someone wants another SP :)

Let's just say I'm REALLY happy I insisted on Romero instead of the other pitcher you wanted... Martin is an interesting case because his advanced stats have been so much better than every other part of his performance.
