Havana trying to fill out an organization and Saunders is still a lefty bat who sucks against right-handed pitching.

Bold prediction: Neither team will miss anything they gave up in this deal.

This one was tough for me. I don't know why I continue to value catcher defense, but I do. The game likely is massively overrating Saunders, in which case I overpaid. Or he's the real deal, in which case I was trying very hard not to screw Dan. Zap Martinez has solid upside, as does Snyder, but none of the will be all-stars. Ditto for Cotten Chavez if he bumps slightly.

But yeah Kyle, you may be right. Still, it feels good to have the kind of catcher I like again, and I think I helped Dan get some depth and gave him a fair deal.

I do hope Saunders' weird splits don't make him all Drew Zod-y

I dunno, Snyder looks good to me. Bump that work ethic a bit and the changeup develops...

Huh. Snyder is the one I like the least for Havana. Righty pitchers with 6 movement and not great stuff just look like a recipe for disaster. The other three are interesting prospects. I just don't really like Saunders all that much, so I think it's a win for Havana. (though Ted isn't exactly giving up prospects he values either)

He may not end up as a great starter, but he could be good in the pen. Stuff potential still has a tick. He throws hard too. That third pitch may be the key.

I gotta build up my minor players and I already have a C prospect I want to build off of.

With a team like mine that is a few years away, losing Saunders seems a decent risk for me.

I have no idea how a lefty thrower is a 10 catcher, but hey, I hope he works out!

Actually nevermind I hope he's crap...lol
