Trading of Same Year Draftee Restriction

Yup. That's what I was looking at, but then why did Randy ask? Constitution has been out of date before though. Okay. Let's just assume he's referring to MLB and that we haven't changed.

the constitution also says 4 TN instead of 6, so i think at this point it needs to be taken with a grain of salt... I could be completely wrong on this, but couldnt hurt to make sure.

Certainly possible it just hasn't been updated. But I don't remember any discussion on that changing.

If you say so. I know for a fact there was a post about the TN's changing. I'm pretty certain there wasn't about this. If there isn't a topic or post about it, then I'd think it hasn't changed.

i just checked my PM's and recte himself told me we dont have the rule anymore (i dont want to quote it without his permission since it involves a trade we were discussing).

Also with regards to the TN change, i know there was a post on it, but just by reading the constitution you would have no idea about the change.

I was also still under the impression that the drafted players rule is still in effect.

Nixing it, in my opinion, would end up leading to shenanigans involving who gets picked by whom.

for the record i agree, in fact it was recte who was asking for some guys i had drafted and when i said they were off the table due to that rule his response was "we don't have that rule anymore".

It's still in effect. No change. We don't trade draft picks or same-year draftees.

I know there was some talk about allowing it a few seasons ago, but IIRC, it was determined that it was basically like allowing draft pick trades and wasn't changed.

(1) Do an update on the constitution
(2) Put the constitution into a stickied post (which would be easier to maintain)
(3) Link to that post from the main web page (remove the HTML/Wordpress thing)
