UMEBA offseason things

Post by bschr682 » Mon Jun 10, 2019 5:02 pm

Make sure we have interleague play enabled going into next year. FAIL BOAT!

Get new double duty BBA GM for Mumbai if that guy doesn't respond soon...

Sync the playoff schedule better with the BBA one (not really sure how you can pull that off)

Enable playoff roster rules

Perhaps change the designation of our lowest minor league level from AA to R. Dunno for sure but if an UMEBA team just lets the AI run the minors, it may fill out that lowest level with older guys instead of rookie level talent. Also it might screw with coaching salary demands. Just a theory I have.

Fix the trade deadline and expanded roster times. We pretty much were at a 40 man roster for 2/3 of the season.

A note to all UMEBA GM's - our lowest affiliate is now an A ball league. It would be nice and also helpful to players development if it was more age appropriate, i.e. players were the sort of young end of the franchise 18-22 or 24 at most would be age range that should be in there. At the moment there's plenty of late twenty's players even some in their 30's. Not many of your youngsters will develop if they're constantly coming up against grown men and gnarled old veterans.

Plenty of youngsters still out in free agency, they may not amount to much now but maybe after a year or two in our Far East A ball league . . . .

If things keep going well, I plan to give you guys a third minor league affiliate next year, based in South America.

Ha! I successfully tricked the game and fixed the schedule. Take that, OOTP.

I take it that means Manama sweeps the board then? ;)

All very well but to be honest I'd have rather had our ST, now most of the league is new and we have no stats in which to make our cuts or analyse our players. We just have to guess? Who wanted this damn change - I wanted Spring Training :furious: :furious: :furious:

It might be for you who have had a year with your team to work them out but for those of us who have just arrived with our teams we now have to make decisions on cutting 10, 15, 20 players without any data other than the majority are 80/80 rated for the UME and 40/40 for the BBA

I'm halfway to a real BBA rant, you know the 10 page one that goes in circles for eight of them, but I know Matt meant well. He always does what he thinks is best for the league and I suppose it's short term pain for gain but it bloody doesn't feel like it now.

I hope none of my starters pick up injuries now as none of them have played at all

I won't if my star pitcher gets injured first sim and all the batters I've kept turn out to be donkeys while the released ones turn out to be Rolls Royce's at other UMEBA clubs
