Montreal Makes Ace Pitcher Available

Montreal has placed one of their ace starting pitchers on the block. Kinzo Iwamoto has been the picture of consistency since the Blazers acquired him in 2057. That year, he finished second in the Johnson League Comeback Player of the Year voting, going 15-8 with a 3.17 ERA (141 ERA+) in 32 starts and throwing a no-hitter using only 77 pitches. The following season, he led the league with 18 wins. Last season, he went 15-9. This season, hes 6-1 in fifteen starts, twelve of them rating as quality starts. His ERA this season is 2.89 (147 ERA+), which ranks fifth among Johnson League starting pitchers.

In 2058, Kinzo ranked as the seventh best starting pitcher in the league according to Ron Collins' SP Ranking Thread on the forum. Last season, he ranked as the 18th best.

He may be 35, but he's an Ironman who always answers the bell. He has made 32 or 33 starts in each of his three seasons with the Blazers and is on track to do that again. In the last three seasons, he has produced 19 or more quality starts each year. He is an Extreme Groundball artist with 9 stamina. He is only making $1.4 million this season.
