Jacksonville Trade Block - lots of guys available
Yes, we're in the forty-team mix in the JL wild card, but I can't help thinking I'm living on borrowed time, with the 9th best OPS and the worst bullpen and the worst defense. This isn't really my team yet anyway.
Looking for prospects primarily and to not gum up our $80 million in cap space next year unless it's worth it.
Happy to retain salary for any of these guys.
SP Mark Thomas: He isn't, of course, as good as he's been pitching this year, because he's been crazy lights out all year. But he's a cheap lefty (under $4 million) who has had a lot of productive years, he had a good year last year, and the engine loves him. Available June 1.
SP Luis Rubio: Even cheaper than Thomas and maybe better. Won't re-sign with me or he'd be off the block. Would fit into anyone's cap.
RF Norihisa Yokoyama: Consistent powerhitter has 22 homers in half a season. You do the math.
C Spencer Hillson: I'd love to get an extended look at Auno Maatta, and Hillson is having yet another excellent year at catcher.
Also available: 1B Jude Stephens, SS Jonathon O'Reilly, RP Edgar Sosa.
Most other veterans not on a minimum contract are available.
Finally, no on Bob Anderson. Can't think of a single reason I'd do that.

Just so you are aware, Jax is in the JL, not the FL.

Bump. Seriously, nobody wants Yokoyama half retained? He's got 20 homers.

Last call for players, especially Mark Thomas, who's been absolutely awesome this year. He's a lefty and he's cheap, people!
