Calgary Trade Block
Time to throw in the towel and really move some guys. So here goes, I never thought I would put some of these guys on the block. Looking for young guys and prospects.
I am planning on keeping my big 3 bats, Stinson, Backhouse and L’Arch. I need something to cheer about and they are the only bright spots I have. Pretty much any of the other vets are available.
SP Jefferson Pierce - Come get him, maybe the best SP in team history. He deserves to play for a team that makes the playoffs and it might be a couple of years before we do that again. I can’t believe I am blocking him. He was one of my custom ammys, named after the comic book and tv character. The creator of this DC character is a neighbor of mine.
SP/RP Mauro Rios - Signed him this season and he was unhappy after 2 sims, because we didn’t have a winning record. Moved him to the bullpen where he has been great, but could start for a winning team. Signed to a cheap contract.
SP /RP Jorge Avila - Guy could start, but I have used him in the bullpen. Good for 10K+ per 9. Only 26.
RP Joel Ottoboni - Yep Calgary’s all time save leader and in 715 career games has a WHIP of 1.03 and 9.5K/9. I have cheaper guys that can finish games.
RP Quirke Roddis - Only 24 and it would take a really good offer to get him, but since some teams have asked here he is. 12K/9, lefty, 11 fastball and 11 slider
1B - Tony Horton - Blocked here, hits a ton of HR at AAA. If you are looking for a right handed power bat here you go
2B - Jesus Yan - I signed him to a 1 year deal and figured I would take the supplemental pick next year. So I need at least that value for him. Having a great season, good glove, good bat, and a lefty
3B - Alfonso Trinidad - He has been are starter for 7 seasons. Good for a .280 average and 30 HR a year. His contact pot recently bumped to 10 and HR bumped to 9. He could be a real addition for a team in the playoff hunt.
OF - Chris Thomas - Power hitting OF, that can play either corner. He had a 4.0 WAR last season and a .911 OPS. Having an off year this season since he doesn’t like losing. Only 26.
OF - Hadji Ufanisi - Good righty bad and good glove in the corners. Could platoon or come off the bench
DH - German Romero - He has a great bat, lots of power and gets on base too. He just can’t play the field.
OF - Fred Madden - Need a leadoff guy that has great OBA, speed and gap? Also league min and only 26.
