I don't know what's going on right now, but here is a list of players Portland is interested in trading this off-season...

Lorenzo de' Medici - Likely the Egan Award winner in the 2050 season. One of the best relievers in the game. 2 years still left on deal.

Wilson Alomar - Will be a free agent after 2051 season. A consistent 2 WAR player. Can be had pretty cheaply.

Ernest McBride - Can opt-out after the 2051 season. Not sure what he'll do. He's been pretty great but understood the high salary makes him a tough trade.

If we want to go big, I will consider trading a starting pitcher since I have 6-7 pretty solid arms and can afford to trade one. But those 3 are my focus first but a pitcher will require a "go-big/go-home" type trade.
Looking to make a big move this off-season.

I'm willing to trade Alomar in exchange for a 45-50 rated prospect. Has just 1 year left. $12 million for a guy with over 100 RBI last year and a WAR over 2.0.

We have a lot of cap space this off-season as well as an empty roster. But won't stop us from searching around. Gomez and Martinez are two quality arms I can move.

I'm not looking at taking on your bad contracts but if you have a guy making more than you'd like and you want to move him, perhaps we can work out a deal.

P- Juan Martinez

RP - Felipe Vega

All 3 of these are quality arms. Gomez and Martinez can start. Vega is purely relief. Would want something "decent" for Gomez and Martinez while Vega can be had fairly easily. Basically Gomez and Martinez will need a B type prospect of sorts (something in the 55 potential range)
Bumping this for after free agency. Looking to move one of these 3 arms. Anyone looking for a pitcher? Send me your offer. I don't have time to exchange messages in a trade negotiations right now.

I have the time back and am looking to make the moves if I need to. We have some names on the block that may be of interest. Anyone on the roster is available but here might be the highlights....

Offense
DH Pedro Guzman
COF Pedro Bustamante

Both have similar salary structures. Both could opt-out after this season. If they stay, you're on the hook for a slight pay decrease for the next 2 seasons. Then they both have a team favorable year and a final team option. Leaves you the option to keep them around or buy them out in the end. Bustamante probably limited to a platoon to the favorable side now. Guzman has had 2 seasons of WAR of over 4.0.

COF Jiao-long Ma - I don't think we are re-signing him. Doubt there is much interest in a COF of his stature now. He was a pretty good player but has fallen off some last few years.

1B Ricardo Yanez - off to a great start in 2055. Similar salary structure to the Pedros, but significantly less.

Pitching
Chris Thompson
Ken Sparks
Steve Warren

Trading any one of these 3 will hurt my Portland heart, but if I'm going to make trades I might as well put them up for trade. At this point in their career, Thompson is probably the best of the 3. I'm still convinced Warren is better than his 45 rating. These are guys you'll still have for 2-4 years if you want to make a deal.

Anyone else is a possibility but I think those are the marquee names. I can take back a bad contract if need be. In order to retain salary, I'd have to have more in return in the trade. I don't care to retain but it'll cost more.
:bump:

Possibly ready to make a move. PM me either here or on discord with offers.

Looking to move Ma if anyone is interested. Willing to pay 50% of his remaining salary if anyone is interested in adding a platoon bat to the favorable side. Looking for a 50-55ish type prospect. He's a free agent at the end of the season so a chance to pick up a popular bat for 1/2 price to maybe boost your OF. Two Time Silver Slugger Winner and a former Diamond Glove guy.

Offense
COF Pedro Bustamante - Can be had in a deal similar to Guzman. I'll take salary that is expiring in the next year or two if you want Bustamante.

COF Jiao-long Ma -

1B Ricardo Yanez - off to a great start in 2055. Similar salary structure to the Pedros, but significantly less.

Pitching
Antonio Hernandez
Ken Sparks
Guzman is gone so the big bat still there is Bustamante. I'd practically about give him away like I did Guzman at this point if anyone is interested in a big bat. I'll take some short term salary back if need be.

Ma has turned it around and is on pace for another 3.0+ WAR season. I'm not re-signing him and would be willing to trade him in a rental type deal. Send me a 50/55 projected prospect at any position and he can be yours. I'm even willing to retain 50% of his salary if you want him.

And I've added Hernandez if you need a starting pitcher to add depth. We are clearly in rebuild mode now in Portland and there is no reason to hang on to a solid arm at this point.
