Possibly a new 2B. Nitro is great but I might move him to SS if I can get a good 2B.
Possibly an elite closer. The more the season goes a long, the more I think I need 1 more lockdown guy in the pen.
PLAYERS ON THE BLOCK
Davis Locke or Owen Stark. I have depth at 3B. Still looking to move 1 of these guys.
Luis Miguel Carrillo. He was pretty good last year in AAA and has really blossomed into a force this season down there. Problem is, I have Elroy Hinson who blocks him 100%. I might choose to shake things up and call him up anyway but I figure ill float this out there 1st and see if anyone wants him.
INTERESTING PLAYERS
Here I want to sort of keep a running tally of all of my prospects and maybe some non-prospects that I find interesting. Doesn't necessarily mean I am actively looking to move them but by all means do not be afraid to ask. This probably wont get updated super regularly but it should help those of you who browse on your phones from time to time.
Tony Caraballo - Fairly recently got the control boost he needed to at least be a reliever in the bigs. Can he get another boost and become a viable starter?
Pablo Figueroa - Doing exactly what Quintana did. Bumping into strikeout monster. Very exciting.
Corey Jackson - Jackson seems almost assured of being at least a bullpen piece. Any sort of bump to his control will vault him to SP prospect status.
Jose Garcia - Future big league reliever.
Ray Perkins - A young relief prospect.
Will Franklin - Possibly a future reliever. Maybe even a starter if he gets lucky.
Carlos Delgado - Probably only makes it as a reliever in a pitcher friendly park but any sort of velocity bump makes him a more legitimate prospect.
Luis Miguel Carrillo - Catcher with plus power, plus eye, and plus avoid K.
Fred Poe - Future big league reliever.
Jose Castro - Future LOOGY.
Dillon Taylor - Future reliever.
Mike Roman - Switch hitter with ok LF defense and good chops on the basepaths.
Aloysius Gonzaga - Gonzaga is a former first round pick that has developed very nicely. Got a few bumps along the way that turned him into a defensive monster and his bat is pretty good as well. Should be a good one.
Bailey Blackley - This years first round pick. Only 20 and throws really hard already. Also very well developed for such a young age. Looks to be on the fast track to being a big league starter.
Bill Marsh - Young SP with a long way to go but he throws pretty hard at a young age and his intangibles are off the charts.
Bill Brock - Doesn't look like much more than AAA ceiling at the moment but the ingredients are there. 3 pitches, lefty, 19 years old, a ton of stamina and good intangibles. The guy needs development help for sure but as a lottery ticket he looks nice.
Trent Herbert - Another guy who needs a little help but you can see the pieces are there. 4 pitches, throws gas, good stamina, 20 years old, great intangibles. Don't count this guy out yet.
Rodrigo Lugo - Another future reliever unless he gets some random bumps. Long ways to go yet.
Hotha Popo - A catcher from Kenya. Sweet. Amazing plate discipline, pretty good defense and the OOTP development gods already love him as he has bumped several times. Very excited about him right now.
Grant Montoya - A high draft pick this year, Montoya looks to be a good middle infield prospect. Great defense at 2B and currently learning shortstop admirably. Dangerous man on the basepaths and the bat is proving to be good enough to get him onto those bases.
Ki-seop Park - Very good CF prospect that development continues to be kind too.
Pedro Gallegos - Plus defensive RF that swings lefty and has a ton of speed. Useful.
Gebre-Egziabher Mwaka - Yea that's right another Kenyan. He may not look sexy but he does have a chance. Decentish bat especially if it bumps a little, good D, and decent intangibles. And with a name like that, you better believe im rooting incredibly hard for this guy to make it. Just imagine the sound that would come out of whoever is doing the zodcast while trying to pronounce this name!
Stephen Clulow - Only 16 so he has a long ways to go but he has a legit shot at being a pretty good starting pitcher.
Teko Op den Kamp - A 16 year old dutch pitcher with a pretty good shot at being a starter. Long ways to go but bonus points for being a lefty.
Semyon Zagidov - Another youngster (this time from Russia) that has multiple pitches, starter stamina and throws hard.
Raoul Goderie - A bullpen piece with a long ways to go but he looks pretty good already considering he is only 17.
Donnie Stewart - Young middle infielder that might just have a future. Pretty ok in the outfield as well so I can easily see at the very least a useful utility man.
Tony Cerda - Young international complex player. Looks like a future reliever. Could blossom into more with any luck.
Jun-seok Chon - International guy that has the chops to be a starter if he develops well. Long ways to go but again the pieces are there.
Jose Dyola - Yet another international young pitcher with the look of a starter. 3 great pitches, great stamina, and throws very hard for a 17 year old.
Shun'ichi Sato - Another young international pitcher. Probably destined for the pen but he has a good look about him.
I may as well kick Figueroa's tires...I can always use another Quintana
