SP:
Phil Briggs, 31: Outstanding pitcher in the prime of his career. Last season before free agency making a very reasonable $6M. His in-game contract demand is not ridiculous, so the acquiring team could pick him up for long term without having to outbid other teams in free agency. He won't be cheap, but he could be the final piece for a team looking to win a title this year.

Jason Brooks, 32: Another top of the rotation starter, Brooks is under contract for three more years with a team option for a fourth. He's more expensive, making $14M, $16M and $18M over the next three years, but could also step into the top half of nearly any rotation in the league.

Others include Grey Street, Ricardo Alonso, Juan Trevino.

RP:
Jonathan Sorensen, 35: Veteran four-time all-star closer and two-time Fireman of the Year, Sorensen will immediately shore up the iffy bullpen of any contender. He's on the books for $10.9M this season and then two team options for $13.9M. Short term or long term, Sorensen is one of the best closers in the league.

Hitters:
Kyle Stanley, 30: Serious power. Who can't use 35+ HR in their lineup?

Joseph Steward, 35: Veteran who can play any position on the diamond outside of C, Steward could be a valuable super sub for a contender, freeing up a roster spot for a guy at another position. Extremely CHEAP. Will move him for a warm body.

Joseph Drew, 34: Still a great glove at SS, Drew bounced back with the bat last season, batting .291.

Briggs is a player i can't decide if I could use to put me.over the edge or a player that keeps me where i am at and not worth the prospects.
