Madison upcoming trip to State

Post by 7teen » Wed Jul 03, 2019 10:17 pm

My oldest son’s baseball team won their district tournament last week and the Virginia State Senior League tournament is July 5-10. So I’ll be traveling to Sterling, VA (near DC). Not sure how long we’ll be there. It’s double elimination so could be two days or could be the week. Who knows. We leave Friday for opening ceremonies and coaches meetings and games start Saturday.

I know the draft is probably coming soon. I’ll have my computer with me and will try to keep up with things but if I go MIA during that stretch that is why.

This summer has been nothing but busy for me and my family it seems.

And while you'll be in my neighborhood this weekend, I leave Tue for Chattanooga with my daughter's softball team.

Just an update... we lost game 1. We’ve won 2 straight in the losers bracket. Tournament started with 12 teams, and only 6 remain. Major rain over night and this morning washed out all games today. 1 more win and we’re down to the final 4.

I got my draft pick in but didn’t pay much focus on signability demands. It’s been a hectic few days dealing with 12 players, 12 sets of parents, games, and...... those pesky umpires!!
