Yeah. Though I don't think there's a conversion that could change your team enough to crash it except for a complete system failure.

'25 does hate a couple of my players, including Jorge Cano who was amazing for me this season.

I'm really gladly we switched, and seems like us newbies joined at the perfect time for that. I think it (and further versions) will be big improvements because of the new rating system. The development lab is cool

By the way, did we also switch to relative ratings? It looks like we did - just checking.

I’m working out how to describe my overall thoughts but I like 25 in general and I’m looking forward to digging into it more as we move forward. It’s definitely going to take some getting used to.

It’s definitely different I can see myself taking a more cautious approach until I get comfortable.

What a clusterfuck. Change for the sake of change is not always good. All my players suck now, and if I do the stupid dev thing wrong they will suck even more.

I remember back in FPSBBPro98 there were development allocations as well, and we (the GBC) disabled it because it never worked. Oh well. I already paid (my mistake) so I have to live with it.

2 things:

1. How is Chad on top of Mount Olympus? That’s for winners 😀

2. I feel very confused with 25 at the moment.

I think we are still on true ratings, but the conversion from the internal 1-200 scale to the new 1-500 scale was done in such a way as the core ratings got more normallly distributed. Performance should be at least similar, if not the same (at least that's the design goal). But I'm willing to bet we'll have an interesting year. Every player who has horrible performance will be considered to be a v25 thing. Some of them will be (?) but others will just be normal OOTPness. So...

I don't think the core essence of the team (or teams, for that matter) will change much. My ability to comprehend the screen is is still in process of getting settled, and I've been looking at it for months!

Overall? I'm excited and think it will be a good moved. But I'm bracing for an, um, interesting year.

True. But this year's combination of scale change and rating breakout is more jarring to the user than most new versions.

What will be interesting is the fact that some people have been "looking at this for months", while others got their copy literally two days ago. The disparity of insider knowledge will be massive.

I basically tell everyone everything I know about all OOTP things...I admit I know very little about how the dev lab will do itss results, though I did take 30 minutes once and made a small test league to step through the process on a daily basis. This helped me understand the process...which I wrote up in detail on a post here earlier.

You can clearly do the same thing. Or just decide if I'm lying. :)

That said, I do have a large advantage becase I'm probaby in the top 5 people who are not on the Dev team when it comes to how OOTP works (or worked!). I hope my behavior has confirmed that if you have a question about things I haven't already posted, I'll answer it to the best of my ability...
