Molina Recovery?

Post by RonCo » Sat Jan 06, 2024 2:09 pm

As I was writing the look-back trade analysis regarding David Molina, I got to wondering what the general consensus was regarding pitchers getting hurt so early in their careers.

So, what is the BBA mind-meld's viewpoint?

Will David Molina keep those gaudy ratings as a 24-year old, three-time survivor or, if not, how far will he fade?

I hope I’m wrong, but I told myself if he has another major injury he will be out of the league within a few years. And here it is…I expect a lot of lumps in the coming years.

I don’t think the production will ever quite line up with the off-the-charts ratings. Several other relievers are like that. Just ask… Boise.

Im gonna be an optimist and go with knocked back but I've seen this myself with Ananas. He went from Fragile to Wrecked in a blink even with managed usage.

I love this result. "2" across the board so far.

@Knucklehead254 and I may still be right. Regardless, I think his superstardom is limited to bullpen now. I also have strict usage with him now.

Anything is possible. Time will tell. But he's a clear Egan winner now.

Of course, Sandy Koufax was out of baseball at 30, too. :)
