FL Wildcard race

Post by Dington » Fri Apr 21, 2023 2:03 pm

The 2054 Frick League Wildcard is tight. With just a couple of weeks remaining, who will take the final two wild card spots?

TeamRecordGames Remaining (At Home)Remaining Opp. Win %GB
Twin Cities82-6713 (10).459+2
Long Beach80-6913 (7).516-
Nashville80-7012 (3).5640.5
MadisonY13 (10).5651

I think Twin Cities has it locked up, but that final spot will come down to Long Beach or Madison. The Bluebirds have played .500 ball on the road and has a combined record of 23-29 vs. their remaining opponents. Long Beach has been dealing with a ton of injuries, but has a leg up on Madison and an easier remaining schedule. Nashville also just swept Sacramento, so who knows. Hopefully their 9-4 September record keeps them hot.

I voted for Nashville because I'm a homer, but surprised others did, too.

Homer vote for me as well. I'm sure we're gonna miss out tho. Really a bummer cause just three weeks ago we were in the race for the division.

If it wasn't for injuries, you'd have this locked up. Thanks for making it interesting.

I voted against Nashville on principle.
