The Verdict on the 2051 All-Star Game

League-related polls only (use OT Forum for OT polls).

What does the All-Star beatdown mean? Is Frick really that much better?

Frick League has outpaced Johnson in terms of talent and management. Johnson is the weak sister, at least for now.

It was one exhibition game with a freaky result. Don't read anything into it.

The Verdict on the 2051 All-Star Game

Post by neugey » Fri Jul 15, 2022 10:02 pm

I was catching up on the 2051 season tonight, and was shocked to see the All-Star game result: an utter curbstomp of the Johnson All-Stars via the mighty boot of the Frick All-Stars. An 11-0 game shutout recorded by Frick, with the Frick contingent outhitting their opponents 16-3! Pretty impressive to limit an All-Star team to 3 hits when you are cycling pitchers in and out constantly, right?!

Since the BBA apparently has no inter-league play, there's no other easy barometer to gauge which league is better, and this begs the question ...

There's a clear divide in pitching/hitting talent. Johnson League has the best hitters and the worst pitchers. The top NINE teams in runs scored this season are from the Johnson League. Pitching is our weakest asset, and it was on display at the ASG. And I guess the bats fell asleep that day. It's a long flight up to Twin Cities.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

Wow, a lot of intensity in the All-Star game. Someone wagering PP on this thing? :P
