For the sake of an extra few PP’s we’d better correct this right from the start

The apostrophe denotes either possession or the omission of letters. As in, Bob’s car is red, or Bob’s going downtown. The “s” without an apostrophe would be plural. If you have more than one Bob, you could tell all the Bobs to line up over here.

Same with the Chilis. Chili would be a singular chili. Add an apostrophe “s” and you’d be talking about something that belonged to one chili - the chili’s color is red. If you have multiple chilis (say 27 of them) you can either add an “s” with no apostrophe or an “es”, as in chilies, to make it plural.

I had a hard time voting as you spelled Chili incorrectly in both possible answers.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

This made me laugh because I was thinking the same thing but was too polite to mention it.
