You can find all entries at the main post here.

And now, Round 1 match-ups:

DESSERT REGION

(3) Portland's "Kate's Kookies" vs (30) Des Moines' "Sweet Chili Kettle Corn Balls"
Can a cookie really go deep into this thing? They sure can when there's booze in them! But don't underestimate the kettle corn balls in Iowa...everyone loves popcorn and the sweet and spicy combo could spell upset.

(14) Mexico City's "Dulce de Leche and Banana Tamales" vs (19) New Orleans' "Bases Loaded Beignets"
The banana bread coming out of the front office of Mexico City is a thing of legends, so no surprise they infused it into their regional take on tamales. But beignets is one of the first things people in New Orleans seek out and the ones served at Huckfeldt Memorial are to die for. Really interesting match-up here.

MISC REGION

(6) Vancouver's "The B.C. Roll" vs (27) Phoenix's "Talons' Famous $3 Sushi"
Wow, sushi versus sushi right out of the gate! Who's will reign supreme? Vancouver's has the history and all the flavor on it's side, but Phoenix's incredible price should be taken into consideration. That said, it's what the three bucks gets you is the mystery.

(11) San Antonio's "Most Wanted Brisket Tacos" vs (22) San Fernando's "The Jon Reed Messy Burrito"
Two Mexican food staples going head-to-head...you gotta love bragging rights are on the line in Round 1. Everyone loves brisket and everyone loves tacos...jamming three or four of these during an Outlaws' game can make anyone happy, regardless of the score of the game. Then there's the Messy Burrito. It's an experience, much like Jon Reed himself, but not everyone loves to be seen wearing a bib. The half-price beer promotion has been updated in the stadium during this voting process to anyone who purchases the burrito, whether you finish it or not, so keep that in mind.

You got my vote. A burrito and beer?

Perfect combination. Just make sure the bathroom lines are short!

Have you ever had a New Orleans beignet?

Note this is the only place you can order 4! No more splitting that 3rd one with your wife.

Come on guys, who wants to have to sit in their seat at the ballpark with a knife and fork eating their burrito? Then there is the chance the gentleman behind you inadvertently jumps up at the sight of a towering homer and dumps half eaten burrito down your back and warm beer all over your head.

No my friends, while at the ballpark, a man needs a man meal, a meal he can grab with his hands and shove into his face hole with reckless abandon, a meal that satisfies the soul as well as the belly. Here are some testimonials

Food Show Host Guy Fieri: "If I had featured these brisket taco's on my show Triple D, they would have been the best show ever"

Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay: "I wish I could make taco's that good"

Porn Star Stormy Daniels: "These taco's really fill me up, and that's hard to do"

Celebrity Alyson Hanigan: "I haven't had that much meat in my mouth since that one time at band camp"

Now how can you turn that down

VOTE #11 and stay a Free American

Gordon Ramsey said I was a Fuc#*@ng Donkey but the taco's were heaven

Giada De Laurentiis said the taco's were so good they should have been Italian

Bernie Sanders said he would give up socialism for another round of Most Wanted Taco's

China said they wouldn't even try to make a knock off version of these things

Wolfgang Puck calls me every day begging for my recipe

Paula Deen said they were so good they didn't even need butter

Emeril Lagasse said "BAM"

Michael Symon slept in front of the stadium for two nights just so he would be first in line to get some

Justin Trudeau said he would be willing to make Canada part of the U.S. just so he didn't have to import them

Mexico won't even speak to me because they say I stole their Abuela's recipe

That’s the only reason gumbo isn’t the no option. Nobody eats soup at the ballpark.
