Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
Very hard NO - this is a writing league which is one of its main attractions. The upping of sims to four would really squeeze people who are trying to maximise their writing to fully document their franchise.
I notice in the comments too that people are trying to use this as an excuse to get out of the writing ? IT’S not that hard, the commitment is 6 x three paragraphs, 18 paragraphs a season. How hard is that?

Some of us have full time jobs and kids in the house. Also I think your high and mighty attitude given that you neef more than 2 hands to count the number of franchises you have run is wearing a bit thin for my liking.Fat Nige wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 2:07 pmVery hard NO - this is a writing league which is one of its main attractions. Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
Why is the changing of franchises such a big thing for you Randy? As long as I’m here and meeting my obligations to the league why should it matter whether I am running the same franchise or a different franchise?
I could understand it if I was constantly not writing, or waiting til Landis day to turn out six articles or not contributing to the league, but that’s not the case. Whichever franchise I’m running I am contributing fully to it’s history. I really can’t understand the big deal about changing franchises, perhaps you can explain how that’s hurting the league?

Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
Hate to be the stick in the mud, but the 3 days per week is perfect with my work and family schedule. With the current Thurs, then Sat Eve/Sun Morn sim, I'm able to get my OOTP done on Thurs/Fri, then come back on Monday morning to pick up the weekend sim. My weekends are so unpredictable, I have issues with there's back to back, Sat/Sun Sims.
I'd be ok with it if the extra sim was mid-week. Like maybe a Mon-Wed-Thurs-Sat Schedule.

Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
As much as I would enjoy an extra sim, there will probably be too many people that will fall behind and possibly lose interest over time.

Wow, it's going to be difficult to replace 13 GMs, but I think it's worth it to have four sims a week

Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
After reading - this - I'm OK with the 3x per week. I changed by vote to no (from yes). I do 3 other leagues (Plus PT). Maybe at certain times we do 4x a week (one or two weeks a BBA Season?), but I like the 3x as it gives me time to actually write & read articles/forum posts, and other BBA stuff. If its 4x a week we might miss some of the stuff about the BBA that we all joined up for. Does anyone feel the actually in-game BBA season takes too long to complete?

I agree with Mike - after reading the responses, I think that making it possible for guys to participate around their work schedules should take precedence.

Guys- this is not a time to be bickering. Some of us (including me) are still working. Respect that.
We can do other things to accommodate the half of the group that wants more activity. Podcasts for one. Perhaps some Discord with OOTP21 sims where I can share some insights.

Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
Oh, sorry if my comment came off poorly. I was very much joking. We have the best GMs in baseball history, including real life MLB. I don’t want anyone to leave us, especially not Joe in Boise. I mean if someone were to suggest Joe in Boise should leave I would be so upset. Someone better not suggest Joe in Boise should leave. I’m sure fans in Boise think Joe in Boise should leave, but I say to hell with them.

Re: Would you like 4 Sims a week?
I apologize for adding to the angst amongst us, I guess we’re all a bit on edge. I’m sorry and withdraw all previous comments in this thread other than I wouldn’t be that happy with an extra sim as i feel it would impact my participation
