UMEBA Expansion, who do you want to see?

Following on from my
Possible Expansion Teams thread, I thought I would give the league as a whole the chance to vote for their favourite teams. You can vote for any two or if you have any other to be considered you can write them in the comments (with logo or at the very least a logo idea)

Athens would give my team a nearby rival. Kuwait City would be a perfect rival for Bagdad.

I'm going with Karachi as Mumbai are short of a rival, Bucharest are also short of a rival and think Nige liked Tblisi so voted for that in recognition of Niges hard work.

Nice logos! I voted - if its the UMEBA - technically anything in Europe isn't consider "Middle East", so that swayed my voting. I am surprised, no Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, or Tehran. Are these the official choices are just some selections to start conversations flowing?

There is a Tehran option, the Tehran Sports. I did have Riyadh and Abu Dhabi on my possible list but felt that Mumbai needed rivals more than other teams, if you visit the expansion thread which is the link Nige posted I listed the rivals present and future. Anyway the rivals was my thought process on how I came about with options example Mumbai didnt have one close rival hence why I came up with Karachi & Dushanbe.

We already have quite a wide definition of “Middle East” as technically Romania (Bucharest) and India (Mumbai) do not fit in the normal area accepted as Middle East

I think it's criminal that we don't have a Russian team. Putin would never allow that. Expect heads to roll. I assume he'll still be in power in 2042.

The Dushanbe were a franchise rumoured to be backed by Russia and China, I thought it a possible storyline but it got no support. Maybe the league saw through it?
Plus Putin would be close to 90 wouldn't he.
