I voted yes but I probably don't care as much as others. I asked on the other thread about if AS appearances upped a player's popularity. If it does, I think it does have an impact in our league, especially for rebuilding teams. Anyway to help get them some fan interest is a good thing. If it doesn't, well then I don't care as much if I have a rep or not.

It does affect popularity, which in turn should help a struggling team with second half attendance. The biggest reason I like having this rule. The second reason is that it continues to engage the struggling teams GM and gives them at least one reason to write a team news. :)

I just think it’s an exhibition game so why shouldn’t every team participate? It’s not as though it means anything- let each team have their day in the sun

Though I voted no, it's not a hard no. I'd be fine either way.

I don't think it's that important every team is represented. There were a couple of players from TWC's toilet days who got All Star Appearances who obviously didn't deserve them. The awards for those players meant nothing to me.

However, I did have a couple of seasons where 4 River Monsters went, who did deserve it... I was proud of that.

Both were exactly the point I was making on the other thread. It's a definite yes for me then.

Does it affect fan interest? If it does, then I think I will say yes even though I have stated that I am mainly against it. Fan interest is much more important to me than an undeserved all star appearance.

See above. Player popularity affects fan interest at a certain point, so yes. It may not directly it help or help right away, but it's good for down teams to have a guaranteed popularity bump in a player each year.

So it's official...next year we'll have a rep from every team except California, Montreal, and Seattle.... sounds like a plan.
