They got my vote. Madison and Vancouver has to show a little more before we assume either is legit. LB has the track record.

As much as I would like to vote for Vancouver, I don't see this team going to the playoffs this year.

I'm not. I bet people are thinking: Vancouver won 63 games last season. So that doesn't bode well in this poll. Long Beach won 86 games and squeaked into the playoffs last year so that makes them the odds on favorite. Madison is probably just as likely to finish behind Yellow Springs in the end of the year standings which would clearly knock them out of this poll.

If you sort of assume early on that Omaha, TC, SF, Cal, and Seattle are locks for the post-season (they aren't but let's go along anyway), then I bet you'd have gotten more balance in responses to who is the 3rd wild card team had you added YS and Edmonton to the poll.

I'm willing to wager more people have more confidence in YS chances to rebound and make the post-season than either Madison or Vancouver.

I think this is pretty spot on. I'm not so confident YS will rebound, not because they don't have the talent but sometimes you just suck. As to who the last wild card team will be, Chris is right, it's pretty wide open.

Now that I consider my post, of course the last wild card spot is wide open in May. Duh.

That it is! haha

But I think that's kind of the thought of this poll in a sense. Ron seeing who everyone thinks might end up snagging that last spot. Clearly any of these teams could climb or drop in the standings and someone else emerge as the season plays out.

His surprise that more people took LB over Madison and Vancouver isn't as surprising to me when you just compare those 3 teams and their track records.
