I really can't believe I am even considering this, but it was brought up in the podcast (and that was well done by the way) and it was confirmed by a couple of the other GM's that i reached out to so this will be my first official poll.
Should i gut myself (and the team) and slowly die while laying in my own intestines or try to assemble an offense that is just good enough to get us back in the playoffs.

I think you either need to go all in or all out. Both of those pitchers aren't getting an younger. Either trade all of your prospects for the best possible 2030 team and maybe sneak a Landis win or trade them both before their age scares everyone off.

Do you honestly feel like you can compete in the next 2 (maybe 3) years? If so, you'd never want to trade them. If you aren't sure, I'd say you'd want to move them for the right deal (whatever you feel that is).

I don't know the specifics of your team, so I can't comment fully. I can; however, safely say that you have gone 4 seasons now without breaking .500 despite having two of the best SP in the league. So, unless you have obvious reason to believe that 2030 won't just be repeating the same failed recipe, then you owe it to yourself to explore their trade market. They will both be 32 years old next season. Sure, they might both be the exceptions that prove the rule and still be dealing at age 35, 36, 37. Or... more than likely, one or both will fall off a cliff within the next 3-4 years and you'll have nothing to show for him/them.

I agree with this. I have never liked trying to work both sides of the coin (marginal playoff contender slash building for the future). It always handcuffs me. That's just me though and legitimately I enjoy going through the rebuilds.ae37jr wrote:I think you either need to go all in or all out. Both of those pitchers aren't getting an younger.
