What is Austin’s Biggest Problem?
The Austin Shredders have been near the bottom of the BBA for a few years now and it’s time to poll why.

Up the middle talent and pitching. Same thing it took me about six seasons to figure out.

Re: What is Austin’s Biggest Problem?
I think I’ve solved the defensive problems up the middle for now with Madrid and Irvine. Moving Komatsu to right and trading for Jerry Woodall bumped my ZR inCF by almost 30 points.
Pitching is still a train wreck without much help down on the farm.

I think you are on the right track with getting your defense sorted out and then focusing on your pitching.

Re: What is Austin’s Biggest Problem?
My honest opinion is that newer GMs (those with six or less seasons in the BBA) came into the league where the talent and aging shifts benefited organizations with a longer term plan and strategy along with a more historical view of the league. Tenured GMs were better able to manage the talent shift (especially on the defensive side) and target and secure productive players more easily because of it.
This is not a slight to new GMs. They entered an uphill climb without knowing it.
