Funny. Zero people have entertained any substantial offers for him since I put him on the block, save Kyle, and I challenged anyone who felt the Karlamov trade and offers were bad to step up and make a better one for Workman. Yet, I had no offers better than what Matt offered. I fully understand Hahn's faults, but I'd rather take a chance (even if it's about as likely as a guy bumping randomly) that he can get to that 7 contact and be a useful player. I viewed him as basically a 6/6/6/9/6 talent player with a chance to bump up higher (by bump, fill out). If he can hit .250/.370/.430 (which he could if he's 6/6/9), he's an average DH.
As most have gone to great effort to point out to me over the past few months, Workman has his share of faults too. If he loses any range, he's suddenly a bad 3B or locked in at 1B.
If you (by you I mean anyone, not any person in particular) think it's such a bad trade, make an offer to Matt. I'm sure he'd love to flip Workman for a much better set of prospects.
Otherwise, I'll be trading Considine at some point and I'm sure 22 teams will think it is a terrible trade. If you want to be the one to fleece me, make an offer.
