balkoff When a pitcher balks in the winning run.
derpoff When a pitcher walks in the winning run, hits a batter with the bases full, or the winning run scores due to a wild pitch or error.
200-proof walkoff When the home team scores in the bottom of a previous inning to extend the game and then scores with a walkoff in a subsequent inning.
pimpoff When the home team scores a walkoff following the visiting team tying the game to cause extra innings (or more extra innings) or scoring what would have been the winning run if the home team hadn’t responded.

2061 Ed. 22 Team and Player Highlights
- It’s time to check in on Des Moines. Well, knock us over with a feather…the Kernels now have only 4 more 1-run games than #2 so they’ve chilled a bit relative to the league. They still have a heavy .385 PCT to deal with in such games, but being involved in LESS of them is a good strategy.
- Rockville is a painful 8-18 in 1-run affairs, but not as painful as Rocky Mountain’s 8-20.
- Las Vegas is a ridiculous 18-8 in 1-run games, but they have the next-to-least in the BBA so that’s not where they’re making their haul…ok, their making their haul in any situation this season.
- Just like New Orleans did in our prior edition, Yellow Springs (10-2) and Brooklyn (4-12) found their way into 3 of the 16 walkoffs this time around. Yellow Springs was a solid 2-1. Brooklyn, 0-3, not so much.
- Yellow Spring’s Emílio Navarro jumped into the pack at the top of the Atlas standings, but now is the time for a sprint to the finish, guys!
- Brooklyn’s (4-12) Harold Nothard and Rocky Mountain’s (3-6) Sergej Gijsberts each picked up 2 Goatly moments to push into a huge pack trailing the leader, who just might have things locked up.
