Rockville’s Cam Whittenp/b] made a late charge in the latter weeks of the season, but Whitten persevered. With 35 HR you would expect a player like Fernando Castillo to deliver walkoffs via the long ball and that’s exactly what he did. And he posted all 4 of his heroic efforts before the All-Star break. He posted walkoffs on:
- 20 Apr: Hawaii’s Phil Thompson with a solo shot in the 9th
- 25 Apr: Valencia’s Luke Seddon on another solo HR
- 11 Jun: Yellow Springs’ Tyson Morris with a 3-run homerun in the 10th inning
- 30 Jun: Nashville’s Quirke Roddis with another 3-run HR, this time in the 9th
