balkoff When a pitcher balks in the winning run.
derpoff When a pitcher walks in the winning run, hits a batter with the bases full, or the winning run scores due to a wild pitch or error.
200-proof walkoff When the home team scores in the bottom of a previous inning to extend the game and then scores with a walkoff in a subsequent inning.
pimpoff When the home team scores a walkoff following the visiting team tying the game to cause extra innings (or more extra innings) or scoring what would have been the winning run if the home team hadn’t responded.

August Team and Player Highlights
- Sacramento (26-14) has settled down a bit from their blistering pace in 1-run games, but Brooklyn (7-24) looks to be shooting for some kind of record.
- There was a disappointing number of walkoffs for half a month with no team involved in more than 3. Hawaii (2-11) and Chicago (6-6) dropped all 3 of their such endings (more on Chicago later). Valencia (6-3), Long Beach (10-4), and Bikini (5-4) each went 2-1 while Boise (8-10) was the only team to drop just 2 of their 3.
- Going 2-0 in the latter half of August were Calgary (10-5), San Antonio (19-20), Twin Cities (7-5), Vancouver (7-3), and Yellow Springs (5-7), while Rocky Mountain (7-7), Sacramento (6-2), and Jacksonville (4-4) all dropped a pair.
- Chicago’s Mike Baker is a man on a mission as he gave up 3 walkoffs in just the last week of the month to soar to the tie at the top of the Goat standings with Madison’s Wesley Turner and San Antonio’s Usama Awad.
- Only Edmonton’s Iván Martínez added a derp in the last half of the month walking in the winning run for Boise on the 17th.
