The Walkoff Watch Terminology
balkoff When a pitcher balks in the winning run.
derpoff When a pitcher walks in the winning run, hits a batter with the bases full, or the winning run scores due to a wild pitch or error.
200-proof walkoff When the home team scores in the bottom of a previous inning to extend the game and then scores with a walkoff in a subsequent inning.
pimpoff When the home team scores a walkoff following the visiting team tying the game to cause extra innings (or more extra innings) or scoring what would have been the winning run if the home team hadn’t responded.

Sims 12 & 13 Team and Player Highlights
- Sacramento (16-6) and Nashville (19-7) are just getting silly with their record in 1-run games. Meanwhile, Brooklyn (4-14) and Bikini (7-20)…oof.
- San Antonio (3-9) and Rockville (6-5), that’s what we here at The Watch want to see! 5 and 4 walkoff games, respectively, with Rockville sweeping all 4 of theirs and San Antonio going 1-4.
- Rocky Mountain (4-4) was a clean 0-3 in these 2 Sims.
- New Orleans (7-3) and Montreal (9-2) each won the pair of walkoffs they saw, while Edmonton (4-5) dropped their 2.
- Everyone has had the sweet taste of walkoff victory but Chicago (5-0), Omaha (3-0), and Sacramento (3-0) have avoided the humiliation of defeat in the first half of the season. The Walkoff Gods generally frown upon that.
- San Antonio’s Usama Awad added his name to the derp list by walking in the losing run.
- Long Beach’s Fernando Castillo tried to extend his lead in the Silver Atlas chase by adding his 4th, but New Orleans’ Zenobius Kazantziakis said “not so fast” as he added to his tally and trails Castillo by one.
- Holy, bloody, hell-balls!! San Antonio’s Usama Awad went berserk in the two Sims giving up 3(!!) walkoffs to pull into a tie for first in the Goat standings. That’s impressive, dude. And a whole host of goats joined the race by posting their 2nd.
