Big drop for San Fernando ace Arnold Cantrell. My manager took control of player strategy this season and is letting Cantrell throw 120 pitches while I'd cap him at 105 or so. Been seriously considering firing my manager midseason to get that control back.

Your manager gives you full control of starting pitcher hook. Seems like you should be able to set pitch counts with no problem.

The option to change control of player strategy is grayed out. I don't have a pitch count box on my rotation screen and when I go to Cantrell's player strategy it's also grayed out.

All right, it's a day early, but this seems to be an interesting place to stop. Hector Silva is still #1, but we're seeing the impact of the All-Star break shuffle on guys like Mexico City's Dave Corfield (who hasn't started in 10 days), and San Antonio's Sakutaro Kawano (who hasn't started in 12). You can also see the impact as you scan down the list and see guys who have been inactive for more than 6 days--at which the James method begins to penalize them a quarter point a day. So, for example, Corfield has lost a full point of rank ([10 inactive - 6] * .25) due to the schedule shuffle.

Something I hadn't noted earlier is the case of Nashville, which has four pitchers in the top 28. That means that if you define a #1 as a guy in the top 32, the Bluebirds have a rotation comprised of four #1s. With #5 Lolololo sitting down just barely off-chart at 104, well, that's pretty good.

Also, since I noted him earlier, Bikini's own Samuel Nebraska is actually having a pretty good year despite a horrible defense behind him. He's crawled himself up into the top 50, sitting at #48 now. I'll note that Nebraska made the All-Star game, but did not appear, hence didn't have his normal rotation schedule jostled.

Another interesting case: Sacramento's Lance Harrison, who was sitting at #55 a couple weeks ago, but then has been supplanted in the rotation, and began to fall. 17 days later and he's down to #64.

I feel pretty good about having 4 guys in the top 100. I’m also happy to see Rasmussen jump up to #28. Extending him has definitely been worth it so far.
