The Walkoff Watch 2058!!

The 22nd* Annual Walkoff Watch kicks off this year!! We here at The Watch are rested and ready for every holy-crap-did-you-see-that-i-can't-believe-tommy-left-the-game-early-we-will-never-ever-let-him-live-this-down moment in the 2058 BBA season. Here is the skinny:

*Not in a row…sheesh…[/b]

walk´-off` (Baseball) A game-ending, game-winning at bat. A hitter can earn a walkoff, and a pitcher surrender a walkoff, only in the hitter's ballpark as it must happen in the bottom of the final inning. The hitter is credited with a walkoff on anything that earns him an RBI on the winning run. That does include walks and hit-by-pitches, but does not include errors (that means no balks, passed balls, or wild pitches). The pitcher, however, will be charged with surrendering a walkoff if the error is his and the inning was not extended earlier by an error or the scoring baserunner did not reach on an error.

We here at the The Watch have found the need over the years for additional verbiage...
The Walkoff Watch Terminology

balkoff When a pitcher balks in the winning run.
derpoff When a pitcher walks in the winning run, hits a batter with the bases full, or the winning run scores due to a wild pitch or error.
200-proof walkoff When the home team scores in the bottom of a previous inning to extend the game and then scores with a walkoff in a subsequent inning.
pimpoff When the home team scores a walkoff following the visiting team tying the game to cause extra innings (or more extra innings) or scoring what would have been the winning run if the home team hadn’t responded.

Sweet!! I was considering bringing back the SmackDown/Fubar or whatever incarnated name I come up with this season as well. There was only 1 in sim 1 so I may combine it with sim 2.

Let me see if I understand this.

Blazers game 2: Pimpoff. Blazers led 9-8 entering the top of the 9th. Robins scored on a solo HR to tie it up. With one out and two on, Blazers reserve IF Aniruddha Meenakshisundaram hit a walkoff single in the bottom of the frame.

I usually wait and do the first release covering the month of April, then each Sim after that. More content.
