Twas the Night Before BBA Christmas, Part 2

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the league
Not a feature was written, except old ones by Ben Teague ;
The Oyster's Landis Trophy was displayed in the case with care,
In hopes that Mr. October soon would be there;

The Pioneers were huddled on their bench painted red,
While visions of more games in October danced in their head;
And I in my cap and Kate in her Bikini
Discussed firing Shoeless while sipping a martini,

When out at the Denny's there arose such a fuss,
I sprang from the desk and started to cuss.
Away to the window I flew like a Flyer,
Tore open the shutters and pushed down the Brewmeister.

The moon on the grass of AGLS Field
Gave the lustre of mid-day to the Kids in the Cornfield,
When, what to my wondering eyes would I see
But a bucket of balls, some players, and a tee,

With a little old GM, who lost long ago
I knew in a moment it must be Ronco.
More rapid than Robins his players they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Demon! now, Dozer! now, Padfoot and Spinach!
On, Clubhouse! on, Crash Test! on, Dumbo and Bumper!
To the top of 'Iolani Palace! all the way to Montreal!
Now hit the ball, throw the ball! play ball you all!"

As dry brick dust that before the Aztecs rain fall,
When they meet with an obstacle, an Outlaw Fastball;
So up through the standings the teams they all rise,
With a bag full of gear, and Aaron Haney in disguise

And then, in a twinkling, I heard in the cage
The screaming and yelling of Recte in rage.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
In the cage Anna Kendrick came with a bound.

She was dressed all in glam from her head to her toe,
But her clothes were all covered with pine tar you hoe;
A dish of Crawdads she carried in wait,
And she looked like a poor man's version of Kate.

Her eyes—how they twinkled! you Sexy M.F.er
Her cheeks were like roses, as she stood aside James Walker!
Then just as Walker's mouth drew up for a kiss
It fell on deaf ears like a Makin swing and a miss;

She held in her hands a bat, maybe two,
As she tried giving lessons to Manobu Shimizu;
She had a nice face and a flat little belly,
That drew that attention of Nashville's Bill Kelly,

Kelly was joined by Jo Momma obligatory link, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw them, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a scuff of his shoe,
When out of nowhere appeared Du Wu;

Wu spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
When for no reason at all Kendrick began to twerk,
Seeing enough I left in disgust,
I slammed the cage door and left the place in my dust;

I drove out of sight, speeding by cars
When I noticed I was joined by a bunch of injured old Stars,
But we all had fun, as we left there too quick
"Merry Christmas to all, and we still miss you HoosierVic."
