In honor of our Commish’s big day here are 50 things I think I may know;
1. The GMs in this league are second to none.
2. Every GM adds their own piece to this wonderful puzzle of sim baseball.
3. The history that has been compiled cannot be replaced or replicated.
4. Juan Rivera will be the HR king.
5. I am glad I picked up that copy of High Heat in the bargain bin back in 2000.
6. There needs to be an in person meetup, ball game or beer share.
7. We push for constant changes because we care.
8. We miss Edward.
9. Jason Egan was underrated.
10. I need to pay closer attention to the minors this coming year.
11. 16 inch softball is unique to Chicago.
12. Las Vegas will always have the Hustlers.
13. A relegation league would be very interesting.
14. The beer tastes better under the stars in the Northwoods.
15. We don’t miss Al Hoot.
16. Everyone will win a title eventually if they stick around long enough.
17. I like being a fan of the BBA more than being a fan of MLB.
18. The BBA team logos are awesome.
19. The governing board is a huge part of why this league is so great.
20. I like m’opes.
21. Jackrabbits and Lumberjacks can coexist.
22. Small hall > large hall
23. I love how I remember Mike Love even though his career was less than great.
24. It’s tough to write a lot during the fall months.
25. We are grateful that the names Puckett, Santos and Chamberlain mean something different than when you talk to standard sports fans.
26. The Sluggers will always have a sweet spot in my heart.
27. We always need more cowbell.
28. The pronunciation in my mind for some players is way wrong.
29. Triple crowns are few and far between.
30. Omaha likely will relocate again, it’s just what they do.
31. It’s fun seeing past GMs pop up again.
32. Discord isn’t half bad.
33. We need more Jo Momma.
34. Tucson used to have the Cactus.
35. Tinkering too much with lineups can be a bad thing.
36. Not sure how Chad manages to have that minors system.
37. There will never be another Steve Nebraska.
38. Carlomaria Donadoni had a season for the ages in ’56.
39. I always pull for the underdog.
40. I wish we had a franchise in Marquette again.
41. Dave Mathews Band is the house band of the BBA.
42. Ron’s formulas will forever confound me.
43. I like that we have franchises in weird locations.
44. I am sad when I miss an export as I feel like I failed a test.
45. Pickleball is better than tennis.
46. I am looking forward to the next 10 years for the Outlaws.
47. Our significant others simply don’t understand this league like we do.
48. Our commish puts more time and effort into this hobby than most put into their professional jobs.
49. The Brewers will win it some day.
50. 50 is the new 15.
