For my money, this is the most unbreakable offensive record in the BBA. The only teams since 2035 to break the 300 mark are 2050 Sacramento and 2049 Charlotte (317, 27th all time), and neither of them came within 1/3 of the Brooklyn total.

With only 2032 Brooklyn and 2050 Sacramento carried over from the raw list, this one is a lot more diverse throughout history. The 2016 Yellow Springs team is the most dominant in any single category across the (positive) offensive spectrum. Modern slap and dash masters Charlotte and Sacramento each show up multiple times, and it wouldnt be a shock to see them a few more times in the coming years.

Interesting note here that having a Top 25 (and ties in this case) win total only gets you a pennant about 1/3 of the time and a title just shy of 1/4. Also of the top 6 performances of all time, only 1 of them resulted in a title (the 2030 Louisville Sluggers).
It’s pretty disgusting how few of these teams are underlined. Smh.

In keeping with the theme previously seen in the Hits section, John Callahan really knew how to build an offense in Montreal. AVG is a bit passe in the analytics era, but the data is pretty clear that if you put the ball in play and get on base, you generally make the playoffs. For reference .313 would have been just outside the top 20 in the entire BBA last year for individuals.

New list, same old Montreal domination as they again hold the top 3 spots (albeit with a few changes in order and teams from the raw list). Another frequent visitor is the Rockville Pikemen, under recently departed Aaron Weiner. Somewhat hilariously the only franchise to make this list and NOT make the playoffs is Seattle, who did so twice.

One of the original "advanced stats", the act of getting on base by any means necessary is illustrated here by the Long Beach Surfers being ranked 1-2 despite those teams being ranked 136th and 15th respectively in AVG. The walk spike in the early 40s shows up here as well.

A darkhorse emerges to take the top spot!! 2044 Rockville barely snuck into the top 10% on the raw list, but vaults to the top of the adjusted list in what seems to be a weirdly down year for the league. In a preview of categories to come, 2037 San Fernando makes an appearance as well.

O gee look, it is the early 40s again dominating the list. Those years and the 2037 San Fernando juggernaut will pop up quite frequently from here on out. It is somewhat shocking to see 2nd place Louisville as close to 25th place as they are to 1st though.

2 things jump out to me looking at this. 1) That San Fernando offense was a clear warning sign of where the league was heading, and a perfect storm of guys with big talent having great years. 2) how in the hell did that 2003 Montreal team not make the playoffs?

This list is a little less slanted towards the early 40s due to the OBP influence balancing out the high SLG numbers, which brings in some of the earlier teams. Just for reference on how insane those 2037 Bears were, here are some of their offensive stats that season (along with their career numbers).

Jared Gillstrom .337/.386/.570/.956 6.3 WAR, 228 Hits, 42 HR (Career .319/.375/.543/.918 112.8 WAR, 575 HR, 3373 Hits, 603 SB)
Tai hoi Wie: .311/.422/.581/1.003 6.4 WAR, 45 HR (Career .267/.397/.484/.881 65.3 WAR 2585 hits, 544 HR, 2019 BB)
William Moreland .306/.379/.633/1.012 4.1 WAR 43 HR, (Career .288/.365/.564/.929 53.9 WAR, 561 HR, 2142 Hits)
Angel Garcia .257/.352/.446/.798 1.8 WAR in 87 Games (Career .234/.354/.393/.747 46.0 WAR 353 HR, 374 SB, 1962 Hits, 1300 BB)
Luis Maldonado .302/.371/.642/1.013 7.0 WAR, 57 HR, 44 SB (Career .266/.338/.512/.850 44.2 WAR 497 HR, 439 SB)
Juan Mendoza .313/.381/.528/.910 5.3 WAR 32 HR, 194 Hits (Career .284/.361/.458/.818 35.4 WAR 2056 Hits, 277 HR)

The first two guys were first ballot HOF inductees, Moreland arguably should have gotten in by now and Maldonado was on a clear track (39.1 WAR and 377 HR before age 30) before falling off a cliff.

When you pull back and look at EBH numbers in their context, you see that certain GMs (John Callahan, @indiansfan and @RonCo in particular) are really really good at finding guys who eat up a bunch of bases at once.

Ahh the masters of the slap hitters finally get their due here. The dates on this list clearly show this is a skill that has faded away in terms of priority over the years, as few if any players who were even in the league for the most recent season (2034) are still around.

This might be the most staggering raw number of the entire 2037 San Fernando season. To put up over 3000 total bases when only 3 prior teams had put up over 2800 (and only 1 of them over 2900) is mind boggling. It also shows how underrated and underappreciated that 2035 Calgary team is, as they managed to hold off all but one of those early 2040s offensive bonanzas.
