Modern Day (1995-2051) BBA Team Top 25 Offensive Rankings
Another one of my fun projects is to take each teams stats for a full season from the modern (post 1995) era of the BBA (1518 team performances in total) and stack them up against each other. It is interesting to see how the league ebbs and flows over time, especially when you normalize for each season (which i do by using Z-Score) to see how dominant each team truly was against their peers. As you will see, the environment from the 2040s was VERY different than it was in the 2020s.
I took a look at each individual category, broke it down by % (top and bottom 10 and 25) and then listed the top and bottom 25 both raw and season-adjusted for each category. In this thread (likely the first of 4) I will be looking at the best team offensive performances. Subsequent threads will look at the worst offensive performances, as well as the best and worst pitching performances.
If a performance was achieved in a previous iteration of the franchise, the current franchise trigraph is listed next to it.
Bold: Playoffs
Italics: Pennant Winners
Underline: Title
EDIT: If anyone has any specific questions, please let me know and I can get the answers to you.

WINS:
Playoffs: 34/34 100%
Pennant: 11/34 32.4%
Title: 8/34 23.5%
Top 10%: 98, Top 25%: 91, Bottom 25%: 71, Bottom 10%: 63
Interesting note here that having a Top 25 (and ties in this case) win total only gets you a pennant about 1/3 of the time and a title just shy of 1/4. Also of the top 6 performances of all time, only 1 of them resulted in a title (the 2030 Louisville Sluggers).

R/G
Playoffs: 22/25 88%
Pennant: 4/25 16%
Title: 2/25 8%
Top 10%: 5.41
Top 25%: 5.07
Bottom 25%: 4.30
Bottom 10%: 3.93
The offensive boom in the early 2040s really comes up stark here, as a whopping 9 of the top 25 performances come from either 2041 or 2042, but only 2042 Louisville cracks the top 60 in relative performances. Also worth noting the only 2 title teams from this list come from those 41 and 42 seasons. The most impressive feat on this list though might be Long Beach having 3 top 11 seasons in a 4 year stretch (and for 25 years they were 3 of the top 4!!). The 2010 squad was the slacker of the bunch scoring "only" 5.67 R/G, which was good for a measly 67th all time.

Relative R/G
Playoffs: 23/25 92%
Pennant: 6/25 24%
Title: 2/25 8%
A much more diverse list, showing which squads were most dominant with respect to their peers. The comparison is perfectly illustrated by the top 2, a San Fernando squad that in my (admittedly biased) opinion has a strong case for the most dominant offense of all time (a case that will be strengthened in subsequent posts) and one that is heavily featured on both the raw and relative boards here. Just behind them is a Huntsville (that is Chicago these days) team from offensive dark days of the 2020s that doesnt even crack the top 15% raw totals all time. Somewhere from the dark recesses of the internet Kyle Stever is smiling with pride at seeing this. If you have a dominant offense, you generally make the playoffs, unless you play in the first decade of the century.
On a crossover to the future pitching list, this San Fernando offense (by this measure the best scoring offense in modern BBA history) was in the same division as the 2037 California Crusaders (who are the best pitching staff in modern BBA history using this same metric). Imagine how good they would have been if they didnt have to face each other a whole bunch of times!!

Basically the same list as R/G (only positional differences due to some game 163 performances) so I dont have too much to add. 1000 runs remains a gold standard in this league, and if you break 900 you are pretty damn elite historically as only 94 teams have done that in the 57 seasons within this sample.

Relatively diverse group but a massive spike in this most recent season, not sure why that is. This is also the highest rank we will see from this most recent season, as @GoldenOne edges @Rubaboo for that honor. Additionally, this is one of the least predictive in terms of teams making the playoffs.

RELATIVE AB
Playoffs: 17/25 68%
Pennant: 5/25 20%
Title: 3/25 12%
Slightly better in terms of predicting playoff teams than it's raw counterpart, but still not great. One of the things that stands out here is the abundance of Baltimore (Brooklyn) at the turn of the century.

If you want a hitting machine, call up John Callahan as hits Montreal teams absolutely dominate this list. Interesting that the offensive boom of the late 30s-40s seemed to be focused more on extra-base hits (spoiler alert) but not so much hits overall. This is also one of the rare lists where everyone in the top 25 raw totals reside within the top 100 on the relative list, indicating this one is less likely to have a giant spike of teams all performing well in the same season.

RELATIVE DOUBLES
Playoffs: 16/25 64%
Pennant: 5/25 20%
Title: 1/25 4%
Not a great title predictor (which makes sense when you realize that the most frequent franchise on this list is the Ron Collins era Yellow Springs), and also relatively lacking as far as predicting playoff appearances. This list also features two of the three previous locations for the Omaha franchise.

Ahh the triple, one of the more niche plays in baseball. Not as heavily influence by the early 40s boom as its counterpart the double, but still experienced a slight uptick.

RELATIVE TRIPLES
Playoffs: 18/25 72%
Pennant: 8/25 32%
Title: 3/25 12%
A list that is dominated by teams from a bygone era, so much so that 4 of the top 5 are from teams that have moved long ago. The Mexico City franchise has a rich history with this, with 7 of the top 25. This list also features far and away the most 3.00+ Z-scores, meaning that when a team is good at hitting triples, they are generally REALLY good compared to the rest of the league.

Take a bow @niles08, your philosophy of building a team that plays very heavily to the strengths of your park clearly works to the tune of 5 of the top 7 spots (and 7 overall). I will be honest when I shattered the record with San Fernando in 2037 I really thought it would last for a very long time, turns out it only lasted 8 years. Every entry on this list is focused on a 13 year stretch between 2034-2046.

This list is where you see the league history of HR outside of the mid 30s to 40s, headlined by Washington snagging the top 2 spots (despite missing the playoffs both years). List is relatively balanced franchise wise, as only 3 franchises are represented more than twice (Madison 6x, Nashville 4x, Omaha 3x).

Have to respect some of the older Long Beach teams for having a philosophy and sticking with it. Every single season from 2007-2012 features in the top 22, which is insanely impressive. Even moreso is that only 1 other franchise even has a performance that comes within 100 walks of the top spot. This isnt the most unbreakable record in my book (that one is still to come), but i dont see this going down anytime soon.

Much like the raw leaderboard, an organization doubles up in the top 2 spots, however this time it is the Atlantic City Gamblers that take the honor with some teams from the deadball era of the 20s. In fact in the top 8 spots only madison does not multiple appearances, but even that deserves an asterisk as they share a GM with the Portland Lumberjacks in Chris Wilson.

Avoiding strikeouts is a Fred Holmes special, and one he has executed very successfully over the years. There is a relative paucity of GMs on this list, as in the top 20 only 2 (both charlotte and san antonio from 46) feature a GM who doesn't appear somewhere else on this list. Avoiding Ks is very much a choice to make, and one that is at odds with how the BBA is playing these days.

As dominant as the Mexico City franchise was in the raw totals, they are arguably even moreso here. Interesting note that while avoiding strikeouts like the plague is a good philosophy for making the playoffs, it does not seem to lend itself as much to doing well once you get there. Not sure if that is small sample size, or the shorter series impacting things.
