In this week's installment we take a look at Barreled balls in the BBA for the 2049 season. After going back though the numbers and scraping the game data for 2049 I was able to produce this little Viz. For those of you who want the formal definition of what determines a barreled ball, and what I used for this Viz, its any ball with a exit velo of 116 or greater and has a launch angle between 8 and 50 degrees.

In this Viz we can see the results for the league for balls that were classified as being "Barreled" in 2049.

• Total # of

• Batting Average

• Slugging %

• % of AB per player that were "barreled"

Many thanks to @Jwalk100 for bouncing ideas off of and fine tuning the look / data presented.

Some observations after looking at the data, to no surprise with that park, El Paso lead the league in total slugging % for a team for balls that were actually barreled (.933), where Sacramento led in batting average of barreled balls with (.553), and Mexico City led the league in the total number of barreled balls with 2,610.
