Atlantic City Gamblers

The Gamblers lost CF Cinema Jones to plantar fasciitis on May 17th. He will be out for 3 to 4 weeks and with an expected return date of mid to late June.

Jones is slashing .241/.322/.692 with 2 homers and 11 RBI.

Look for CF Edward Blake to fill in for Jones.



Charm City Jimmies

Jimmies 2B Yi-ke Hsiao was injured in a collision at second base in a game with New Orleans on May 17th. He came away with a sore elbow that will make him day to day for the next four weeks.

Hsiao is hitting .278/.319/.733 with 2 homers and 15 RBI.



Portland Lumberjacks

One of the strangest injuries occurred when Lumberjacks 1B Albert Gaona tore his meniscus tying his shoes. He will be out of action for six months.

Gaona was struggling at the plate batting .087/.236/.410 with a homer and 4 RBI.



San Fernando Bears




The Bears lost CF Chuck ‘Pip’ Dickens to a partially torn labrum. Dickens will be out six weeks.

Dickens was off to a fast start hitting .333/.379/.992 with 11 homers and 25 RBI. He should return mid to late July.



New Orleans Crawdads

Crawdads RP Ismael Ramos tore his rotator cuff and will be out of action for 5 months. He had back spasms in spring training and was struggling out of the gates for New Orleans.

He only pitched 2 1/3 innings with a 7.71 ERA and a WHIP of 3.00.



Madison Wolves

RP Antonio Herrera fractured his elbow throwing a pitch against Des Moines and will miss 7 to 8 months ending effectively ending his season.

Herrera was 1-2 in 4 appearances with a 6.75 ERA.
