Most Runs Scored

Post by bigmike13 » Thu Nov 26, 2020 12:28 pm

Had just written an article doing a comparison between my 2015 champion team and my 2044 team and in doing so saw that the 2015 team had scored 955 Runs that season. So I'm thinking to myself, damn that's good, hell it might even be a BBA record. So I go and start doing some research and lo and behold it isn't even in the top freaking 20. So lets take a look at the top 20 Most Runs Scored in a Season

1041 Runs - 2011 Long Beach Surfers (This team had 4 future HOF, Paul Barfoot, Alberto Guzman, Juan Heredia and Rogelio Morales)
1040 Runs - 2042 Louisville Sluggers (Won Landis)
1033 Runs - 2041 Boise Spuds
1028 Runs - 2041 Yellow Springs Nine (Lost in Landis)
1014 Runs - 2037 San Fernando Bears (Lost in Landis)
1011 Runs - 2041 Edmonton Jackrabbits (Won Landis)
1009 Runs - 2007 Baltimore Monarchs
1000 Runs - 2041 Vancouver Mounties
999 Runs - 2009 Long Beach Surfers
998 Runs - 2042 Twin Cities River Monsters
997 Runs - 2012 Long Beach Surfers
996 Runs - 2041 Louisville Sluggers
987 Runs - 2041 Rockville Pikemen
979 Runs - 2003 Montreal Blazers
977 Runs - 2012 Seattle Storm
976 Runs - 2032 Montreal Blazers
974 Runs - 2042 Yellow Springs Nine
973 Runs - 2043 Atlantic City Gamblers
972 Runs - 2028 Las Vegas Hustlers & 2036 Jacksonville Hurricanes
971 Runs - 2001 Baltimore Monarchs

As you can see, 2041 will go down as the Year of The Live Ball. Just thought this was interesting.

Wow - and Louisville missed tying the record in 2042 by 1 lousy run!
