2043 FUBARs of the Sim - The Ocho

Post by 7teen » Thu Jul 02, 2020 4:17 pm

May 19
New Orleans 12 - Atlantic City 1
The Crawdads rode a 6-run first inning and added on for the FUBAR win. Korbel and Sanchez had 3 hits each. Korbel was a perfect 3-3 at the plate with a walk, 3 runs scored, and a pair of RBI. Sanchez had 2 doubles, scored a run, and drove in 2. Starter Freddy Delgado got injured on the first pitch of the game and had to come out. That left an unprepared bullpen left to the wolves. All four relievers gave up runs in the game.

Jean Hamon had only one hit but it was a big one. His 3 run homerun in the 3rd inning highlighted a 5-run frame for the Aztecs who cruised from that point on. Manny Collazo's second double of the game int he 8th inning with 2 on helped put the Aztecs over the edge and claim the FUBAR win. Jefferson Pierce allowed 7 runs on 6 hits while lasting just 3.1 innings in the start.

Payback is a bitch! Liann-wei Mao had one of his 2 doubles in the 3rd inning. This one came with 2 on and sparked a 3-run frame for the Pioneers. Mao ended with a pair of hits and 2 runs and RBI. Juan Karyabwhite went 3-4, scoring 4 times and driving in 3. His 2-run homer in the 8th made it 9-0. Sergio Vazquez would allow the 10th run in the 9th inning. He also allowed the 8th and 9th runs on the homerun by Karyabwhite.

Jacksonville 13 - Montreal 3
After a dreadful 1-10 season a year ago, the Hurricanes improve to 1-1 on the season with this FUBAR win. Their scoring was bookended by 4 runs in the 1st inning and 5 more in the 8th. Mits Suzuki's grand slam in the 8th was the fatal blow to the Blazers. Pancho Costo added a pair of homeruns, including a 2 run blast in the first. Jorge Hernandez coughed up 7 runs on 8 hits in 2.1 innings pitched.
