Brooklyn 15 - Wichita 2
The Robins marched all over the Aviators here, not only outscoring them 15 to 2, but outhitting them 20 to 5 as well. Fernando Cruz had a homerun as one of his 3 hits in the game. Cruz went 3 for 5 but had 2 Runs scored and an impressive 6 runs batted in for the Robins. Every Robins player scored in this game with the exception of Ignacio Venegas. Every player, including the two pinch hitters used by Brooklyn, tallied a hit. Montoya and Rojas, pitchers for Wichita, combined to allow 12 runs in the game as each allowed 6.
Louisville 15 - Vancouver 2
Same day, same score. You never like to see it. And by that I mean a Heartland team FUBARing a Pacific team. But then again, if its going to happen I guess Vancouver is the place for it to happen. This one was FUBARd after the second inning as the Sluggers scored 7 in the first and 5 more in the 2nd and was up 12-0 before the handful of fans even found their seats in Vancouver. Theo Bourges led the charge for Louisville, going 4 for 5 with a homerun, 3 runs scored, and 5 batted in. The homerun was his 13th of the season. Miguel Ayala was roughed up in that first inning for Vancouver, allowing all 7 of the runs while failing to record a 3rd out.

Madison 15 - Long Beach 4
Here we go again. Madison scored 6 in the 5th and 5 in the 8th to push this one into FUBAR territory. The Surfers did their best to get out of the FUBAR loss with a pair of runs in the 8th and 9th innings but it wasn't enough. Andrew Torres and Salvador Allende each produced 3 RBI for the Wolves while Brewer, Gomez, and O'Connor provided two each. Long Beach used an impressive 8 arms on the mound in this one, including POSITION PLAYER Mario Deortez who needed just 1 pitch to record the final out in the top of the 9th inning. If he never pitches again, he'll hold the honor of the best pitching split of all-time.

Louisville 20 - Long Beach 1
Uh!? Lane? C'mon now! Long Beach did hold a 1-0 lead after 1 inning of play. So at least there is that! That's before Semi Kwakou just took over with the best FUBAR performance to date. Kwakou went 5 for 6 in the contest. His 5 hits included a pair of homeruns the first of which was a grand slam. He added a double and two singles as well. But he also scored 5 runs and had 10, yes 10 RBI!!!!! Hoping to ride the momentum of Deortez's solid performance in their last FUBAR loss, Long Beach turned to THREE POSITION PLAYERS in this one. I mean, they couldn't do worse than Galetto (6 runs, 1.1 IP) or Lean (8 runs in 3.1 IP) right? And they didn't. Ira Sanchez only threw 8 strikes in 26 pitches but allowed just 1 run in 1.1 innings pitched despite 3 walks and 1 hit. Miguel Suarez didn't fair as well, allowing 4 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks while getting a lone out. But it was CARGO that came to the rescue. Gonzalez came in and threw strikes. In fact, he threw 4 of them in 5 pitches and recorded the final 2 outs of the contest and has a perfect pitching resume now like Deortez!
