2043 FUBARs of the Sim - Sim Cinco

Post by 7teen » Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:05 am

April 28
San Antonio 10 - Wichita 0
After we went the entire sim last sim with 0 FUBARs, we kick this one off right away with one. Of course it took 6 runs by the Outlaws in the 8th inning to get it. Octavio Moreno hit a grand slam with 2 outs in the inning off of Bernardo Longorio to help achieve the FUBAR win. San Anotnio had 16 hits in the game but were helped by a pair of Wichita errors that led to 7 of the 10 Outlaws runs being UNEARNED. Bustamante had a perfect day at the dish for San Antonio, going 4 for 4 with 3 singles, a double, 2 runs scored, an RBI, and a walk. Wichita didn't help their own cause much with just 2 base hits as a team.

San Fernando 19 - Long Beach 1
If memory serves correctly, the Long Beach Surfers suffered one of, if not the worst, FUBAR loss of last season. My memory sucks this year and I"m not looking it up right now, but this 19-1 FUBAR loss might be the worst of this short season thus far. San Fernando put up 9 runs in the 7th inning in this one and then added 4 more in the 8th. Bin Okorafor went 3 for 4 in the contest, hitting two homeruns including a grand slam in the 8th inning. He finished the night with 4 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. Cris Martinez joined him with a pair of homeruns, both of Martinez's were solo shots and his only two hits of the night. Cary Brackett makes our first POSITION PLAYER PITCHING appearance in the FUBAR feature this season. Brackett, normally a shortstop for the Surfers, recorded the final 4 outs in the loss, allowing 4 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks. He faired better than Aleixo Urgeses, who actually is a pitcher, as Urgeses allowed 4 runs without getting an out!

Oh, was that you?

Your offense must really suck this season if you scored 11 runs less this time.
