Brooklyn 10 - Jacksonville 0
And right off the bat, the Hurricanes fall to 0-10, trailing only Long Beach at 0-11 at this point for the league's worst FUBAR record. Up 5-0 in the 8th, Brooklyn called on pinch-hitter Tim Torres who supplied the big blow. With 2 outs and the bases loaded, Torres hit a grand slam off of Douglas van Osch. To van Osch's defense, it was the only hit he allowed while striking out a pair. Ignacio Venegas went 3-4 with 3 RBI with some of those hits coming off of Plumey who allowed 5 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks in 5.1 innings pitched as he fell to 2-5 on the season,

Jacksonville 17 - Charlotte 7
And just like that the Hurricanes are off the mat!!! Their first win of the season comes against the Cougars who now fall to 0-8 and possess the second worst FUBAR record. Only the Cougars and Surfers remain as those yet to win a FUBAR game! In a wild affair, Jose Zuniga homered twice and drove in 4 RBI. Dijkstra joined Zuniga by homering in the 7th inning off of Paul Jones who allowed 6 runs on 6 hits and a walk in 2.2 innings of work. Recent call-up Luis Reyes homered in the game, ending the night 4 for 6 with a pair of RBI and 3 runs scored.

Brooklyn 16 - Rockville 6
If this is indeed Alan's last season, he's going out with a bang with his second FUBAR win of the sim! The Robins scored 8 runs in the 5th inning thanks to Sawyer Slizz's 3 run homerun and Nico Eijpe's grand slam. It was Slizz's 42nd homerun of the season and Eijpe's 20th. Slizz finished the game a perfect 4-4 at the dish, including scoring 4 runs and driving in 6. Eijpe only had the lone hit but did add a 5th RBI. Rogerio Vazquez was the big loser for the Pikemen. Not because he allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 3 innings of work, it was that the score was 13-6 heading to the 8th inning before Vazquez surrendered 3 runs to make it a FUBAR loss for Rockville. Perhaps I should highlight the fact that Arthur Dempster has a 15-15 record after the loss, meaning he's had 30 decisions this year. Not sure why, that just seems like a lot of decisions for a starting pitcher these days.

Des Moines 15 - Chicago 5
Clinging to a possible wild card spot, Chicago may look back on this game, against the Kernels no less, as the one that did them in. It can't do much for morale in the windy city going into the last sim of the regular season, tied with Nashville for the final spot, knowing you just got FUBAR'd by your arch nemesis within the division. Kiichi Suzuki was a perfect 4-4 from the plate with 2 runs scored and 4 RBI. He surprisingly didn't homer. Norihisa Yokoyama did homer, twice in fact, going 3-4 with 5 RBI and a pair of runs scored. The first homer was a grand slam in the 1st inning off of Black Sox starter Juan Nicto who failed to get out of the 2nd inning in this one. Nicto allowed 9 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 1.2 innings pitched.
