San Fernando 30 - Long Beach 3
Ho! Lee! Hell!
At the least the Surfers kicked a field goal in this one. I mean where do you start? The Bears had 4 guys with 4 or more RBI. Garcia had 4, Webb had 5, Colon had 5, and Vargas 6. Oddly enough, the Bears only had 2 homeruns, one from Colon and one from Vargas. They also only had 2 doubles. Meaning they pounded out 17 singles. Oh yea, well there were the 24 WALKS issued by Surfers pitching in this one as well. Long Beach used 13 pitchers, yes, 13 PITCHERS!!!! All of them but 2 (Eenkhoorn and Chavez) issued a walk. All of them but 3 issued a run (add Chavarria to the other list). None of them, oddly enough, allowed more than 5 runs in the game. Rios allowed 5 in the start while Avila allowed 5 without retiring an out. He also gave up just 1 hit. He walked 4. This game lasted over 5 hours (5:27 to be exact) and the 31.979 in attendance either left early, were bored out of their minds, or beers sells reached a season high in Long Beach.

Chicago 14 - Des Moines 1
Welcome to the league, Geoff. For what it's worth, Vic isn't the most gracious host around these parts. The Black Sox beat FUBARd the Kernels thanks to a two homerun game by Tommy Cochran. Cochran finished the game 3-5 with 3 runs and 3 RBI. Chicago belted 6 homeruns in the game, including the 13th of the season by Rocky Wattson. Jose Rivera surrendered 5 runs in the start over 3 innings pitched while Jing-xiang Sa allowed 5 of his own in relief while lasting just an inning. Young David Bates improved to 4-1 on the season with the win (Care to guess who handed him that 1 loss?)

New Orleans 15 - Charlotte 2
With 2 outs and the bases loaded in the 7th inning, this game was on the balance of being a FUBAR contest. That's when Bratislev Marousek when yard off of Jose Rivas and suddenly we had us a FUBAR game. Rivas was not helped by his defense much. He allowed 6 runs (all unearned) on 2 hits. Of course he didn't help himself out much with 3 walks. Marousek ended with a game high 5 RBI. Eight of the Nine Crawdads batters had a hit in this contest, the only guy who didn't was Justin Jackson. Jackson instead went 0-3 with a game high 3 walks!

Atlantic City 24 - Rockville 2
Any other sim this would be eye-popping. But just a major FUBAR instead. The baseball was flying out of Trump Park in this one for the Gamblers who hit 9 homeruns in the win. Ernesto Gonzalez was the biggest bat in this one, belting 3 homeruns to give him 7 on the season and a game high 6 RBI. Juan Rivera hit his 21st and 22nd long balls of the season as well. Stewart Illingworth got in on the fun by hitting one out as well and chipped in 5 RBI. Making his 2nd start of the season, Zhi-xin Chien matched his first start effort by allowing 6 runs in 2 innings of work. He allowed 3 of the 9 homeruns.
Seattle 11 - California 0
1-0 going to the 7th inning, this one looked like a classic pitcher's duel instead of a FUBAR game. But Francisco Salazar hit a 3-run homer in the 7th and the next thing you know the flood gates opened. Luis Gracia would give up 4 runs in the 8th and then the bullpen just fell apart for the Crusaders. Manuel Andres allowed 5 runs on 5 hits in the 8th while recording just a pair of outs and then Guerrero added one more before the final out of the 8th was recorded. In all, Seattle scored 4 in the 7th and 6 in the 8th and that was that!
This also leaves Vancouver and Nashville as the only two teams NOT to be featured in this feature yet.
