You can be lower on the list and still have a “good” defense, depending on why your definition of good is. You could potentially rank high but boot balls and commit throwing errors, or you can rank low and not make errors but also not get to many balls and allow hits to fall.

That's so interesting. So Mitch Dalrymple is typically in RF. He's been a gold glove fielder for awhile until this year. I have to see if he lumped in defense and I missed it. William Wood is usually in CF. I know he's probably better made for the corners though. Juan Garcia spent nearly all of his games in left. I expected him to have more issues tbh. I think this offseason I'll try to make some changes. Thanks for the breakdown.

The left field numbers are for your entire team, so Garcia's performance was mixed with those of Luis Costello, Luis Claudio, and Mike Gilbert.

Yeah I understand that. I was thinking for most of the season it was with Dalrymple, Wood and Garcia. It's a good point though because I bet the ratings in LF would be lower with a full season of Garcia.

Yeah, I suppose I can take a victory in being sixth in the league in the least number of errors. I'd like to see us reaching more balls in play though. We'll see what I can do this offseason to improve defense without sacrificing offense. I like this data though. Gives me a different look that the game's reports don't show in an easy to read format like this.
