.280 career batting average is nothing to sneeze at.

Not at all, but what makes Martinez great is the .280 batting average paired with his incredible eye/power combo. He has one of the closer ratios of walks/hits of anyone I have data on. Will post those later when I get home.

So i will be trying a new recurring feature. As those of you who have been around the league awhile I know, I have an odd enjoyment of compiling spreadsheets full of (mostly) useless information about the league and its history. I figured it might be fun to put those to use here for common enjoyment. How I envision this going is that I will post a question and leave it up either until someone gets it or it is obvious nobody is going to, at which point I will edit the initial post with another question and bump the thread. Some basic things are listed below.

-Please quote this post when you answer, so that everyone knows what question you are guessing for.
-Honor system is in play here, you can find a lot of these out yourself by poking around in game or HTML leaderboards, but why ruin the fun (or "fun")
-If I reference "active" players, that is defined as having thrown at least 1/3 of an inning or taking 1 AB during the previous FULL season at the BBA level, in addition to not retiring (this will include guys in the UMEBA if they played in the BBA during that time span).
-Cutoff for active leaderboards are 500 IP (or 100 Saves), and 2000 AB.

QUESTION 4:
Which active BBA hitter has the most career times on base (excluding HBP)?
bumping this post doubleday.

Q4, this is a long shot, but Hinson? He's the only guy that comes to mind when it comes to long career, health, hitting, and eye.

negative on both, elroy is 3rd (36th all time) and cisco is 4th (37th all time).

Since enough time has passed I will reveal this one and post a new question later. The answer is Valeri Kharlmov, who ranks 26th all time.

QUESTION 5:
Which active BBA player (minimum 100 starts) is the active leader in WHIP?
My feature yesterday about strikeout effeciency caused me to look into a lot of really good pitchers. I highlighted Kondo, who would be my guess but I don't think he's accrued 100 starts yet, so going with Feliciano Rafael?

sucking up to the quizmaster is always appreciated, however in this case it gets you no points. Rafael is 13th and kondo (who has 155 starts by the way, which is only 18 less than Rafael) is 9th.
