I had some free time this evening and wanted to do a historical look at the past drafts and how productive they have been. I looked at the total war earned in the BBA during a 10 year period from the drafts of 2027 through 2037. Since there was only 24 teams back then I only gathered data on the 24 teams during this time frame. I found this to be quite interesting and wanted to share with others. Not sure it qualifies as an article but its some neat information.
Rockville 187.8
Madison 172.8
Seattle 169.7
Atlantic City 136.6
Jacksonville 132.3
California 125.5
LasVegas 125
SanFernando 106
Vancouver 101.2
Yellow Springs 97.9
Long Beach 92.8
Montreal 85.8
Nashville 73
Valencia 63.4
Omaha 59.9
Huntsville 59.4
Mexico City 58.43
Brooklyn 56.2
SanAntonio 56.1
Louisville 52.5
Des Moines 39.5
Calgary 38.8
New Orleans 36.9
Hawaii 35.1

Re: Draft Matters
Means we were bad around the start of that and we were able to draft Raider, Mick, and Barrera in a very short span. I’ve had some luck drafting some good hitters. Imagine if I had that one RF back.
Nice work.
Nice work.

Re: Draft Matters
Definitely fun work here. It makes me interested in plotting this data against average draft slot.

Re: Draft Matters
Ouch. Maybe I should turn on auto draft.
Hard to believe my team is as good as it is (average) and I have the #1 farm system with this crappy drafting performance.
