Bravo! Thank you Ron, and everyone else who contributed.

As usual, I can't wait to prove Ted wrong by beating up on the Crusaders all season. :hi5:

Great piece as always, the draft look back was a nice addition this year. Would be interesting to see that as a recurring piece in some format (either media guide or league feature).

If that interests you, might I suggest you read these:

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=17998

I did a complete review of the 2013 and 2014 drafts first rounds.

It's been on my to-do list to continue, but they are very intensive articles, at least the way I like to do it.

Scott did a great job on that. And it was cool to see Matt take a "cut" at his full-fledged article. It made me smile.

True, but I've got to say I thought the previews were exceptional this year...and that's saying something. Well worth the wait...

And, yeah, I know you're totally swamped, so the fact that you can get this kind of detail out while dealing with the start of school is always a bit humbling--and I say that honestly, knowing what it takes to do that kind of volume. :)

Thanks to both you and Ted for once again doing the greatest piece of fake baseball journalism on the face of the earth.

That was my thought. The media guide provides both the timing and incentive too... keeps me from procrastinating

Good stuff. I think you nailed our division Aaron. Any one of the 3 teams could win it. As always, I'm just hoping to make the post season

I think you're right, we have some big questions, both this season (pitching) and next year (cap). I will definitely be without one big bat next year, maybe sooner....?

I'm particularly impressed by Mexico City's rise. It's a fun group to watch.

Hadn't had a chance to look at this until now. It's tremendous. Still working my way through. THanks so much for for picking up the slack when I couldn't get you the piece I'd promised. That was a wonderful take and better than anything I could have done. I really appreciate it.

fantastic

Again, it will take me all week to digest and get through it all - giving it the proper attention to the great writing talents on display (and Ron) it deserves

Great work as always, gang

Great work guys! Seems like Nashville is a mystery team this year....between the in-game prediction, Mike's, and Aaron's there's quite a wide swing on possible final records for the Goats this season.

Ugh, expectations... now I can't say things like "we're playing with house money anyway" - while fighting back tears and staring longingly at a half dozen empty bottle of Blue Moon - when we string together another 15 game losing streak late in the year.

Jokes aside, I agree with your assessment, Aaron. The rotation will obviously be worse (you mentioned Tong and Charles playing insane, but the departed Habbermas had a career year, too), but the bullpen is about 1 million times better and the offense will be better (from full seasons out of Yelainen, Barrera and Torres... plus whomever else I trade for in a month or two since that's my thing). So, hopefully the ebbs and flows even out and then we'll just have to avoid a Metsian collapse this year.

Interesting. I think you guys pretty much nailed Jacksonville. I don't think anyone could have expected us to finish 2nd in the JL in runs allowed, which amounts for most of the difference between the projection and our win total. The offense bounced back as you (and I) predicted, Montalvo finally had a good season as you expected, and Gerela was very good before the injury. The only thing you missed on was Hahn being done.

An 11-17 August probably qualifies. This offseason our primary goal is going to be figure out how to end the season after July.

Granted, there were a lot of moves made this year that were not factored in to the predictions, but those moves were only made (well, mostly, not only) because the Goats started the season off so well. The Plan® was to get over .500 and push for a playoff spot in 2037. Seems like it might not be as much of a stretch as it was before the 2036 season started.
