It is possible that they will soon take over the #1 spot on this list, as both Des Moines and Tuscon seem to be poised for a playoff run.
Not gonna happen.

Damn! After having one of the most dominating runs of playoff appearances in the history of the league, it's hard to believe Madison now has the 4th longest playoff drought.

Tucson (2012) - A runner up. Tuscon had 8 consecutive playoff appearances from 2005-2012, then went cold. Tuscon has finished in last place in the FL-Pacific 11 out of the last 12 seasons. Tuscon has the best farm system in the MBWBA, so it is likely they can bust this drought at some point in the near future.

Constricted playoffs breeds nothing but disinterest in online OOTP leagues. More teams "out of it" at the deadline. More teams "out of it" before the season even starts. Etc.
Yep. When my team sucks I'm definitely a little less into it in the doldrums of the end of the season.

Updated. interesting to note that the 2030 and 2029 playoff teams are almost identical, with only Calgary and Vancouver switching seats at the Canadian table.

With Des Moines apparently on the rise, I'm counting on Havana to keep Madison off the top spot. Or maybe I should just make the playoffs myself at some point...

Birmingham/San Antonio erased a bit of a gap, too.
