The Ben Dover Watch - June Part II

The first part of June saw a whopping 20 Dover games. Had I broken this down in typical sim updates, Sim 7 saw 10 and then the first half of Sim 8 would have already had 10 with games being played on June 16-20 adding to that total.

June 18
Halifax 10 - Greenville 0
If you took a second and glanced at my last update, you'll notice Greenville is on a historic pace... This is their 10th loss of the season and all before the all-star break. It is easy to see this Moonshiners bunch is on pace for the most Dover losses in a season and we have to start to wonder if they'll even win one of these or lose 20 in a row...

June 20
Indy 10 - Des Moines 0
Indy scores 6 in the 3rd inning to improve to an FL best 5 wins, joining Havana. For Des Moines, the loss drops them to 3-7, the worst mark in the FL. At least you're probably safe of being owning the worst record, with Greenville giving it up at will these days.

June 21
Atlantic City 12 - Havana 3
The Gamblers put up a crooked number in 3 different innings as they join the 5 win Frick League list.

Indy 8 - Des Moines 0
Back to back wins for Indy in Dover fashion in this series. Maybe I should retract my previous statement about Des Moines and Greenville.

June 22
Brooklyn 8 - Greenville 0
Nope! Let's stop and look at this real quick. At this point, there have been 69 Ben Dover games this season. Greenville and Des Moines have lost 19 of those at this point. So roughly 1 out of every 3 Dover loss features Greenville or Des Moines. Sorry to pile on here guys, just making some interesting observations.

Birmingham 9 - New Orleans 0
This gives New Orleans their 6th loss of the season tying them with Yellow Springs in that regard. So YS, NO, Greenville, and DM have 6 or more losses each. Next is Vegas with 4. No one else has more than 3 losses in this feature.

June 23
Halifax 14 - Louisville 2
Stu played the over in this game. How else can you explain his team allowing 12 runs total in the first 2 innings.

Carolina 13 - Montreal 4
Mark Montreal off the list of teams yet to lose a Dover game this season. Carolina scored in 7 of the 8 innings in which they batted.

June 25
Vancouver 16 - Greenville 1
:deadhorse:

June 28
Havana 8 - Des Moines 0
:deadhorse:

New Orleans 15 - Calgary 4
It appears to be all or nothing right now in New Orleans. 7 runs in the first inning and 19 hits in this game...
